Some Satire

Stephen Colbert asked Game of Thrones star Kit Harington if it’s true that his wife, Rose Leslie, was not too thrill about him telling her how Season 7 of Game of Thrones ended before it aired on HBO.

Harington said to Colbert, “She asked, like.” Colbert’s eyes lit up and his lips widen into a smile as he leaned across the table to make sure that his ears were close enough to Harington so he could correctly hear what the Game of Thrones star was telling him.

“Wait a second, I didn’t hear that part!” And she said, ‘How does it
end and you told her,’” asked Colbert.

“She asked and I was like, ‘You don’t want to know.’ And she was
like, ‘I really do want to know. Tell me,’” said Harington.

The poor young fella didn’t know what had hit him. And the only thing that was hitting him was his wife’s feminine charms.

Leslie walked over to Harington, gently placed her right hand on top of his, and said in a quiet like whisper, “Honey, please tell me.”

Knowing he couldn’t resist the pleading in her eyes and the soft, gentle touch of her hand resting upon his, the young fella gave in and did the only thing Leslie’s beauty compel him to do; which is to reveal how Season 7 of Game of Thrones ended.

After giving Leslie what she had begged him for, Harington leaned in for a kiss to only have his lips brush up against the empty space between him and Leslie.

Harington opened his eyes and looked at his wife as if to say, “What did I do?”

The “what” the young fella “did” was to do what his wife asked him to do, something that all men know is often tricky because it is not always clear whether the woman wants the man to do what it is she wants him to do; which in Harington’s case was to answer a question.

Trying to figure out the mind of a woman is like trying to find your way out of a Labyrinth. It’s nearly impossible to do. Colbert knows this. He’s a married man. That’s why his ears perked up as he leaned in closer to Harrington to see if he did the one thing all men having trouble doing; which is figuring out what their wives want them to do.

The young actor told Colbert, “She looked at me like and was like ‘I dare you.’”

“Dare” him, she did. Harington told Colbert he was in the dog house after that: “She didn’t talk to me for two days.”

And to that, Colbert just simply laughed because he knows how hard it is to resist the feminine charms of a woman when a man is trying to figure out what it is exactly she wants him to do.
